Working with organizations like Mattel, Hasbro, Winning Moves, Cranium, Learning Curve and Pressman Toy, her successes range from mass-market items including a “2004 Parenting Magazine Toy of the Year” to smaller specialty products. Kim has a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she focused on brainstorming and innovation. In 2006 Kim stepped outside the toy and game industry and began consulting on brand, product and service innovation and renovation projects. She has worked within a variety of industries including packaged foods, foodservice, hotel service, paper products, furniture and hardware. She believes that keeping one foot in the toy and game business and one in the innovation world allows her develop creative, strategic and realistic solutions to a variety of unusual challenges. Kim hosts her own game review website, TheGameAisle.com which she started after realizing that games are like books and people often judge them by their cover art. She only writes about the games that she likes and highlights the brilliant game invention community that dedicates their time and brainpower to create products we love. Kim wholeheartedly believes that games make the world a better place and has made it her mission to get people venture out try new titles. |
