Tell us your story about how you use games in education. It can take place anywhere - a classroom, your home, a library, even a doctor's office. It doesn't matter.

We're looking for fun inspiring stories about how you use games to help educate kids.

On August 31st, we'll be picking a winner - and Out of the Box will send that person $100 worth of free games!

Exactly what will the winner get? Click here to find out!

Hello Mr. Matthews,
Is the selected winner based, at least in part, upon public response to your post? Or is it solely based on the merits in which you outlined by your panel of judges? Thanks so much!

Warm Regards,

Great question! We'll be selecting the winner based on the opinions of our columnists and editors. Feedback on the website will no doubt sway those opinions.

Our most important criteria is how effective the games were for the students. The actual game or games used is not important. A great story showing how a teacher motivated students through the creative use of Crazy Eights, for example, would beat a story about a teacher plopping a copy of Settlers on the table and saying "go to it."

Does that make sense?
